    Mainetec Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer in Paget Qld who is a progressive OEM specialising in bucket manufacture, fabrication, heavy equipment repairs.

    We are seeking qualified and experienced Boilermakers to join our Mackay team.

    Mandatory Qualifications & License

    Requirements:

    • Trade qualified (Cert III in Engineering–Boilermaker)
    • Post trade experience in heavy fabrication and heavy repair
    • Experience in FCAW
    • A keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to quality and pride in your work
    • An active and responsible approach to safety
    • Be able to pass a 4G weld test to AS2980 standard, UT and visual
    • Be able to pass a medical which includes drug and alcohol testing
    • High Risk Work License (HRW – QLD) LF, DG and CN will be highly regarded, but is not essential
    • Be able to pass a medical which includes drug and alcohol testing
    • Working at heights, forklift, overhead gantry, and dogging tickets is highly regarded

    Description of the role

    Austin/Mainetec are on the hunt for qualified and experienced engineering trade qualified individual for a full-time permanent opportunity to champion the delivery of our innovative products across multiple QLD sites for our clients within the mining and resources sector.

    You will be responsible for the Southern and Central Bowen Basin Region, managing all sales from the quote through to delivery and after sales support, reporting to the Regional Manager QLD. This role will require regular customer site interaction for product inspection and support.

    As a knowledgeable, and flexible boilermaker, you will make your mark in the QLD resources industry by representing a global and reputable engineering firm that do great things and keep the QLD economy moving.

    Mandatory Qualifications & License

    About you

    • A qualified and experienced Boilermaker, ideally with supervisor experience
    • Hold a Boilermaker Trade Certificate in Heavy Fabrication or Engineering or similar (essential)
    • Sound mine site experience including Rio Tinto approved and up to date inductions (desirable)
    • Previous supervisory experience or desire to advance into supervisory roles when required on site
    • Sound knowledge and experience in HME Fabrication
    • Experience working on dump truck trays and excavator/loader buckets
    • Experience fitting dump truck trays (desirable)
    • Will be flexible, and adaptable to various mine site travel requirements around WA to support our products in the field, conducting repairs as required, offering advice and support (essential)
    • Readiness to be on site when any new Austin product is being fitted to a machine
    • Will have excellent communication and relationship building skills in liaising with site teams and supporting tray fitments
    • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to safe working practices (mining and resource industry standards, preferred)
    • Self-motivated, organized and reliable

    About You

    • 8/6 or 14/7 roster, FIFO from Perth only
    • Accommodation and meals provided on site, travel to and from site organised for you
    • Competitive rates paid weekly, plus casual leave loading
